I always like meeting a new Detective and the introduction to Detective Ben Wade creates a very good and exciting introduction. A family man whose family seems to have disintegrated around him despite a move out of LA to Santa Elena. This should have been a move to a quieter and more peaceful life where he and his wife could improve their relationship. However things don’t seem to have worked out like that, first the relationship has broken down and it now appears a serial killer has arrived in town. Can’t wait to read on and find out why the woman (Emily) has been strangled and why the serial killer has come to town. It will also be interesting to get to know Ben, his family and the local medical examiner (Natasha) better.
