Excellent detective thriller. Two interlinked stories running - one about sexual abuse, one about a serial killer. Both are well written and subject matter feels real.
Have to remember it’s set in the 1980s - cultural norms were different and sometimes this isn’t comfortable.
The character development was great, main MC comes across as a person you want to know more about- this is developed through the book. Good reveal of his background, both of his younger years and of his current personal life.
Definitely intriguing characters that you want to know more about and see develop. I hope this is the start of a series because I would like to see how this all develops. It certainly ended with the potential of more!
