The simplistic cover created a very melancholy feel for me but only after I read the description did it feel like so much more. You could feel the suspense of the plot even before reading the book and the dark background of main character(s) make them so much more interesting and make them stand out from other books. This definitely sounds like a book that you'll have to take a bit of time after to think about and process. Sounds like a very mysterious and exciting read.
