First part of the premise appealed but definitely not the religious bit!

The premise was very much up my street until the mention of religion and whilst I would very much enjoy a whistle stop tour of the author’s life amongst East End gangsters and in prison the whole conversion idea out me off. I am not religious and that signalled the end of my interest in the book.
