I like the sound of this book but the opening chapters moved too quickly for me. So much happened, I felt like I didn't have time to breathe! I hope it slows down a bit in chapters concerning Emmett's criminal past...
Based on the cover, I probably wouldn't pick this one up in the shops. It's not immediately obvious what the book is about. Maybe an old photo of Emmett and his father would have worked better?
