This isn't the kind of book I would normally read and I found it a little slow at times. I liked the insight into his life and seeing everything he went through with an insiders explanation. However I wasn't too keen on parts of the wording throughout the book as it felt kind of childish especially for the topic of the book (saying that it's definitely an adult read!) I also got quite confused in several areas as the narrative didn't seem to follow on and I couldn't understand what was going on. The start of the book seemed too detailed to have been an accurate recall, especially as it was about events that happened when he was 5 - to me this suggests that he may have exaggerated or made up some of this detail. Saying all of that I did quite enjoy it and thought it helped show that someone who had a criminal past can make changes to their life even if that is very hard.
