I enjoyed reading this book because it is a true life story. It is the story of the life of a man called Michael Emmett who is the author of the book. Michael wanted to write his own story to show other people how he changed from being a very bad guy to being a better person thanks to his religion.
Michael appeared to be living the high life as a career criminal and following in his father`s footsteps. But even the people who were closest to him could not know how Michael really felt inside because he had gained a reputation as being a hard man. But deep down inside poor Michael had been badly traumatised after being abused by a young female babysitter when he was only a child. This really affected his feelings of self worth as he got older.
After living like a rich man on the proceeds of crime for many years, Michael did eventually get caught and he had to serve a long prison sentence for his crime. It was while he was in prison that he found his faith.
