I didn't think I would enjoy this book when I saw the cover, not really into books with violence but I really liked this autobiography. The book is well written and to see Michael Emmets tell the story of his life from a young child to becoming a criminal and then the route he took to become a better man through his encounters with religion and God.
Michael starts by describing his parents life before his birth. His father was a criminal which was all Michael knew growing up. Michael also talks about abuse he suffered from a baby-sitter which must have affected him.
The story describes Michaels life as a baby to an adult and shows how his actions lead him to becoming a criminal. Eventually we see how he discovers a better life.
This is not be usually kind of read but I'm glad I read it as it was good! The book would surely put those who feel a life of crime is right some words of wisdom.
