This was an interesting biography about a very colourful character that led a dishonest life got caught and found god. I have read many biographies of the same type and this one if you like the criminal underworld and all that goes with it then this is a good version of one of those. It lacked anything truly remarkable for me and I didn’t like Michael and what he did to his family particularly leaving his kids repeatedly and apparently ending up with various women including his friends wife which was more than a little ‘Naughty’.
I found the Alpha HTB parts confusing in because I didn’t fully get the link between the author and his link to the faith aside from the fact that he worked with prisoners when he came out of prison it got a bit blurry how he got to meet Prince Charles etc. I understand it featured heavily in his becoming a better person and leaving the life of crime behind and I am genuinely happy he was able to find a way to begin to redeem himself in the end I just don’t like the glamorised lifestyle portrayed and despite getting very rich and losing it all he benefited hugely from his criminal lifestyle for the vast majority of his adult life.
