I was expecting a bit more from the book due to the intriguing summary, however, the plot fell a bit short. I'd say this book is fairly average and does not do the summary justice. Mediocre read, did have a nice flow of writing, but did it evoke emotion? Not really, sorry. It did kill time, and was fairly interesting, but not really worth what I paid. To be fair, I don't read novels like this often, therefore maybe my critique is a bit too harsh. I guess the writing style and pacing is almost stately and grand, which I normally adore in novels, but the plot just wasn't it. My friend's brother loved it though, and begged me to add at least a few positive things in my rather negative view, so I must say it makes a wonderful birthday gift to someone into crime? I guess? I did like it a bit though. But would I go so far as to recommend it? Not really, sorry...
