For some reason this just didn't work for me.
I felt that he kind of glorified all he did and he wpipd describe his affairs and hurt he caused to his family as being "naughty" for me I found this a very child like reaction as the stuff he was doing was very serious.
Not sure if I totally believe the religious conversion aspect of the book either.
It seemed a bit too "pat" and at times he still did bad things so considering the teachings of religion it wasn't really in keeping with his new found beliefs.
Sort of picking up the bits he wanted to endorse and ignoring other aspects.
For me it was all a little confusing and I wasn't sure if he really regretted much of what he did in his earlier life.
Was an interesting read but I just don't know if I fully believed in his reformation.
Kind of a hard one to measure as I didn't really engage with Michael's overall character.
