I picked to look at this book because of the cover, because whoever says they don't judge a book by the cover is a liar. The cover is what made me click on it in the first place, and then the summary seemed interesting enough, so I read the first 18 pages and I'm glad that I did.

I've always been a fan of books about magic, especially when it's in a setting like this where there's a large community of people and a bit of conning involved. Kellen, at this point, hasn't been able to do anything but has figured out a way to con his way into looking like he know's what he's doing. The sample ends with him being outed as a con, so I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.
