I was recommended this book by so many friends, so I decided to give the audio book a go. I really like the narrator's voice, and the various accents he use a for different characters!
The story is interesting and the magic system used within this world is complex and intriguing! I would have loved to learn a bit more about the different magic bands and what they would enable someone to do.
Although this was a well written and interesting novel it didn't quite meet up to the hype from friends. I will be reading the sequel though as I'm invested in the characters and want to know more about this world and the affliction called Shadowblack.
