I dont usually read YA books by men. They’re usually quite boring and i prefer reading a female pov, but spellslinger is one of the few exceptions to this rule.
This book really reminds me of the sylistic voice of Kerri Maniscalcos Stalking Jack the Ripper series and Christopher Paolinis Inheritance cycle featuring Eragon. So if you liked those I’d highly recommend reading this.
I really enjoyed the competition aspect to this. I find those sort of traits really captivating in a book. Like in Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas in which Celaena fights to win Crown Assassins. But I digress. This isnt a Throne of glass review. If it were it would be five hundred thousand characters long.
