This was a fantastic fantasy book. It had a complex back story, lots of twists and turns, and an ending that left me wanting more! It didn't fall into that trap of making the names of characters, places and items within the plot, horribly similar and impossible to remember. The plot itself flowed beautifully and each chapter left me wanting to read more. It did have a couple of slower moments and I think perhaps one fight scene too many, but really that's being picky! There were characters who I thought I'd sussed out from the beginning who turned out to be nothing how I thought they would be. This book just kept on giving. I would definitely recommend this to all fans of teen fantasy books - in fact, I'd recommend it to all fans of teen literature!
