We all know the saying 'don't judge a book by its cover.' We'd be lying if we said we never did that and this cover grabbed my attention the moment I saw it and I HAD to have this book!
Not only was the cover absolutely gorgeous but the story inside definitely lived up to my expectations.
I instantly liked Kellan and found him to be both smart and sarcastic.
Not only are the characters well rounded, the world building is done well and Sebastien certainly knows how to draw you into this world he has created full of magic, adventure and humour.
This was the first book I've read by Sebastien De Castell and it was a good one! Luckily I had Shadowblack on hand to dive into straight after finishing Spellslinger!
