Even though this is a 3-star read, I loved it immensely!
When I saw this book in my home country I just had to buy it as Sebastien de Castell is my fave author!
And boy did I love it! The magic system is interesting, the world is complex and the characters are so well-written that they remind me of real people! I love them even though I didn't like them as people if that makes sense. They are all so flawed that it just makes them so real O_O
The main character doesn't have any magic so I was very happy to read through his perspective and the fact that he is a guy made it even more interesting because it's so rare to see a YA novel written from a boy's POV.
