Fantastic read. I really enjoyed this book and the way it was written. I loved the main character going through the book each chapter showing him what life is really like and have his eyes open to the truth around him. I think it highlights the reliance on those around you when you are young. Not questioning what those in authority tell you. It isnt till an outside source makes him question his surroundings does it reveal the conspiracy plots and betray of his fellow men. Even how his opinion changes twice about his uncle and about his father.
I enjoyed this book so much that I actually read it in just over 24 hours. Would recommend! So much so I have already ordered the second book. If you are considering getting this book the man things to take away is that its based on it's on tribe of magic wielders and their history and this boys progression into the beginnings of manhood.
