I went the journey of reading this book knowing well the author likes to be cruel to his main protagonists. I thought it might be a bad decision, but actually, it's the best I made in a long time! I loved this book, the time flies by like it was nothing but a blink. De Castell captured me in a way I never would've imagined. Most of the characters in the book are really ugly, you are forced to hate them, but little Kellen? You just love him from the first breath on. Also his fellowships Reichis and Ferius just hit me in the middle of my cold heart. They are such a great combo and Sebastians writing harmonized so well with the three of them and the story in general. His writing is for me one of a kind, it's beautiful and ever appreciated. I love De Castell and am looking forward for his next book about Kellen (which Ill ordering right now!) As for you, dear future reader, don't think, just buy and enjoy a very Capturing reading and thank me later.
