With an epic magic system and a mix of colourful character to help immerse you into the plot, I couldn't put Spellslinger down! Loved the flow of the story and the inventive branches of magic that develops the setting. The escapades of Kellen trying to spark his bands using underhand tricks makes it a very entertaining read. The cover is also beautiful and eye catching which initially enticed me to read the book. It's easy to read yet very difficult to put down!! I think the whole idea of the argos as a set of characters gives great potential to introduce other exciting characters through out the series that I cannot wait to meet and explore further into the magic lore of being a Spellsling!
