I’m at a disadvantage as I’ve not read book 1.
I’m not sure if I could pick up the story from this one but I did get the gist of it.
The writing flows well and seems to be easy to follow.
I did notice that the primary characters are well rounded straight away.
The short snappy paragraphs are easy to follow.
It’s a book I’d love to read however, I think I’d feel at a disadvantage in loosing some of the past background matter from book 1.
