Don't worry if you haven't read book one.

I was a little worried about reading this because I had not read its predecessor, but I needn't have worried, as this was a good stand alone novel.
Although there were frequent references to events which had obviously happened in the first book, this story was self contained taking place over the second half of the autumn term at STAGS school, and the story had a beginning, middle and end of its own, and made a good book in its own right.
Despite being older than the target YA audience, I still enjoyed it and would happily recommend to readers of any age.
I suspect that there will be more books in this series, and I would be interested in reading more tales of Greer, Nel and Shafeen. I shall also go back and read the first book in the series.
Well done
