D.O.G.S. is the second book in the S.T.A.G.S. series. I listened to and read the first book and I love that I did because I can now picture Greer’s northerner accent and I feel it gives these books an additional layer and a touch that helps readers connect.
But, what did you think about this book, I hear you ask? I found the idea of the long lost play as a juxtaposition to the past that the main characters are trying to forget a fantastic way to advance and present the plot and its twists. Every act revelation was shortly followed by personal changes and discoveries and it just made the writing style and the reading experience richer. While it is still a very easy to devour and enjoyable book, I did prefer S.T.A.G.S., partly because of the novelty of the idea but also partly because some of the stronger characters (like Shafeen) were more present.
