This was an enjoyable read. Would suggest that anyone who is going to read this reads the first novel first so that you understand what has happened.
I found the characters engaging if not a bit confusing (see above), the story was well written and made me wanting more, somethings just didn't make any sense and a bit to ' Harry Potter ish ' but having said that I would read the next book that comes out.
Yes the story is aimed at YA but I looked beyond that.
Things obviously happened in the previous book that are important but only 4 people know about them so that didn't help to understand the story ( also along with other references).
It would be interesting to see how the develop and how far this series can run.
