Unfortunately, I found this book difficult to get on with, I think possibly due to the fact that I haven’t read the first one. Although, the storyline does seem to make sense without my knowledge of the first.
I think the characters would probably be easy to relate to, the book being aimed at a young adult audience, however it requires a lot of thought to keep up with the storyline when the characters are not already familiar.
I do like the general idea of ‘DOGS’ as I think it is quite unique and being set in the UK makes it closer to home so the setting is easy to picture. I also think Greer is quite a relatable character, especially being a similar age to myself and most other readers.
