Loved it

I haven't read the first book 'stags' but after reading this I will definitely be reading it. I really enjoyed this story about a girl called Grier and her friends shafeen and nel who attend a private school called S.T.A.G.S. It's an old fashioned school that allows no technology. They are in their final year and the previous year one of there friends a fellow student called Henry died. But no one knows exactly what happened to him.
It's now almost a year later and Grier is a drama student and has to pick a play to do for her final exam results. Suddenly she starts receiving parts of a play called ' The isle of dogs' that has not been performed for many years and the person who wrote it was ordered to his death.

You get to go on a real roller coaster with the kids as the play gets dropped of to them week by week act by act. You feel like you are discovering bits with them.

I was hooked and wanted them to learn more. I liked the characters and the setting its not my normal type of book but would definitely recommend if your looking for a different addictive read.

Can't wait to read book one. I would say you can read it as a stand alone as it does explain the story as it goes along.
