Having read the first book, S.T.A.G.S , I was looking forward to reading this sequel. Now don’t get me wrong, this book was great. However, it somewhat failed to meet my expectations.
I really did not understand Greer’s sudden interest in Harry and the thought of somehow raising the dead (?). I especially hated how the author romanticised Harry. Harry is a murderer and no matter how Greer sees him, that will not change.
Although, I do have to say that I liked the historical element that was added.
Unfortunately, in no way has this sequel reached the same page-turning effect as the first book. The plot was interesting, but in my opinion the storyline moved a bit too slowly for my liking.
Overall, not a bad novel but disappointing compared to S.T.A.G.S. It would have been better if it was left as a stand-alone.
