Upon beginning the sneak peek of this novel it was very hard to feel lost as it was completely focused on what happened in the previous book without actually giving any detail away.
Throughout the sneak peek there are references to the first book so just when you think you’re getting to know what’s going on a reference to the first book appears.
However credit has to be given for its writing style and its modern day references such as the film National Treasure and #MeToo which kept the book relevant to make the character Greer seem more real.
Telling the story from Greer’s point of view is very clever and makes the story more bearable.
I think my review of this book may have been different if I’d already read the prequel.
