I quite enjoyed this book, set in an exclusive and very weird boarding school. I also liked Greer, the main character, and the way she interacted with her friends and enemies, including the creepy twins (my favourite characters!) and with adults. The plot was quite strange, but engaging, and I read this in only a few sittings. I did feel that it was perhaps a little too convoluted, but that may be because I hadn't read the first book in the series, and so found the book a little hard to follow at times. (The book is meant to be 'standalone' but I don't think it really is.) I had previously loved 'The Island' by the same author, and while I thought this was good, I didn't think it was nearly as satisfying as that book.
