I like the book cover and the initial page with the tree illustration and date on it because its different to other books I've read. I didn't initially understand the community page that had been included at the beginning but as you read you realise its an excerpt from the blog style page the people in the town use to communicate with one another. The crime is revealed very early on and it appears the real plot will be that it perhaps wasn't Ruby who committed the crime but someone else in the town that has been lying all along. I'd be interested to find out what happens but I do think the initial pages could be more captivating, perhaps it is more of a slow burn in terms of the reveal and gets more intense the more you read.
