I loved the cover of this book and the premise sonuded promising. I loved the initial sketch of the trees and stream and the 'community page' entries. However, for me the opening chapters just didn't flow; perhaps due to the overuse of -'s and there is far too little speech. Where speech is used it can be a little stilted at time, it's almost as if the author is avoiding using speech due to a lack of confidence in this area. That being said the ratio did feel like it improved a little in chapter 3. The downfall of sneak peek/first impressions is that you do not always have enough of an opportunity to give the work a fair chance. On that basis, I would love to read more of this book and see what is on offer.
