Very much my sort of story, slowly unfolding so that everything you think you know becomes a doubt, switching between then and now. Having lived in small villages I can really relate to the intimacy of neighbours and the lack of privacy in what is, at first sight, a quiet place where people keep to themselves. The author captures this really well and I look forward to learning more about what really happened
