Not normally a reader of thrillers like this book, but the first three chapters are intriguing enough and establishes the intense conflict between Ruby, who has been released from prison after being accused of killing the couple next door, and the rest of the community - including her landlady, who allows Ruby to return to her rented room as if nothing has happened and very little time has passed - and the community which (for want of a better way of putting it) has gone from being a benign place to one which is suspicious of one of their own. Liked the use of devices such as the community pages, but would have liked to see more dialogue and less telling.
