This has a really powerful opening - I loved that the tension of Ruby reappearing was set against little domestic details like the knife and her not having changed her clothes. It made it so sinister and we can see Harper picking up on all the little nuances, her mind racing. I'd definitely want to read on to find out what happened and whether Ruby really is innocent.
