Having read Megan Miranda’s book The Last House Guest, and thinking it was a first class thriller, I was a little concerned this would not match up to that high standard.
I can honestly say Such A Quiet Place is equally as good !
Hollows Edge seems like most small enclaves of homes… and that’s where this story gets you…. Can one Really tell who and what their neighbours truly are ? Are we safe as we go about our every day business ? Can any one of us be pushed to do, see or act on things we would never think ourselves capable ?
Innocent or guilty … who are we to presume …
This book is not a thriller in the most obvious way but it certainly makes one want to put it in that category.
An impressive piece of story telling, a book I will happily set aside to read again in the future. There is nothing more interesting than reading about human nature… this is a book I can totally recommend!
