This is my first book by Megan Miranda and it was a compelling read which I found suspenseful and atmospheric. I look forward to reading more.

Hollow's Edge is a picture-perfect neighbourhood, with a shared pool area, woodland and a lake in the development, lying in close proximity to the college where many of the residents work. Everyone looks out for each other, or so it seems until two of the residents are found dead in suspicious circumstances.

One of the residents is convicted of murder but then released only a year later after a mistrial is declared. When she returns to the area, everyone is on edge. What does she want? Can she really be innocent when their collective evidence proved her guilt? And if she is innocent, who could be the real killer within their community?

A clever, atmospheric and immersive page-turner of a read, with lots of twists and potential suspects so we never quite know where the plot is going as we gradually peel away the layers of secrets they are each hiding.
