After reading the initial blurb I had high expectations for this book and it didn’t disappoint. Set in Hollows Edge, a desperate housewives type tight knit community exist where everybody knows everyone’s business. Ruby’s returns to Hollows Edge to try and clear her name and find the real murderer of the Truett’s leads to some uncomfortable truths to be revealed. The twist in the story keep you reading to the end, just when you thought it was one person, another characters action makes you think it’s them instead! I would have liked the other characters to have been fleshed out a bit more, but despite that it was still a compelling read. What started out as a seemingly tight knit community was just a facade and everyone is just out to protect themselves. It kept you guessing till the last couple of chapters when the true killer was finally revealed. I really enjoyed this book and the story line and I’m glad I got a chance to read it pre publication!
