Hmmm - clearly the property market in America is very different to the UK because that sounds like one very fancy community where.....ummm....college professors live next door to young security guard ....seems legit. But putting aside my issues with stuff like that this is a decent enough thriller - okay it all hinges on a woman returning after having a murder conviction overturned and waltzing straight back in to her room rented from a woman without the backbone to tell her to leave (okay that's another issue) but it's a pretty good mystery when it gets going.
There's a great sense of place drawn from the writing, although characters could be drawn with more depth, this is a book I raced through to find out what happened and found myself mistrusting every character along the way.
