Well instantly I was drawn in by the most wonderful book cover of a group of houses hidden amongst the trees. The cover and the title Such a quiet place was enough for me to know it was going to be anything but quiet. The book starts when Ruby is released from prison where she has spent the last year having been charged with murdering two neighbours. She has been released on a technicality and returns to the quiet street and the house she had been living in with Harper next door to the murder victims house. It is clear that the people living on the street have secrets but what isn't immediately clear is if this connects them to the murder or they just have other secrets they want kept hidden. This was an easy to read crime fiction book without any gory details. Cosy crime if that can be said. Definitely worth picking up and reading. Megan Miranda has also written The girl from Widow Hills which was a great read.
