I found this book easy to get into, the writing style and characters drew me in and I very quickly found myself imagining I lived in Hollow's Edge myself.
I instantly liked Harper and related to how she spoke about Ruby's return as well as past events. She was likeable and a believable good friend. Ruby's character was written as someone to dislike straight away but as the story unfolded you found out a lot more about Ruby and see there's more to meet the eye. This leads to many theories developing as the story moves on, I found myself getting sucked into the theories as I got to know the other residents on the lake.
The whole area sounds desirable, an idyllic place to live where everyone is sweet and caring to one another but you soon learn, what happens behind close doors is more sinister and with a lot more secrets. Such a great read and definitely not such a quiet place.
