I had saved my copy of "Such a quiet place" to read on my summer minibreak, thinking I would enjoy it and get through it quickly. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed with this book. In my opinion it had a really slow start so I found myself losing interest and not really connecting with any of the characters. From my perspective nothing particularly interesting happened until around page 90. That said, I have read another book by the same author that also took me a long while to get into but that I then enjoyed. So, overall I would say if you like other books by the author you will probably also enjoy this one. I found it interesting reading about the dynamics of the community where Harper lives and wondering if Ruby was innocent who the real killer was and what was their motive. I liked how some chapters started with snippets from the community group chat.
