I really quiet enjoyed this book. Its always the quiet little neighbourhoods with the most to tell. Once I had picked this book up I found it incredibly hard to then put down again.
I felt it was a fast paced read, not because of the action as there really wasn't any of that but because I was feeling with Harper through it all. Ruby was guilty but was she? That constant questioning and figuring out what was really going on and then right at the end you think, gosh what Ruby must have felt through all if this.
Honestly it was such a fun twisty read, trying to figure out who you think did it to then hear the twist right at the end. I'm glad Harper chose to get out right at the end as the neighbourhood seemed massively toxic. It is very interesting how people kept trying to hold up the pretence of being a happy fun community and it couldn't have been far from the truth. It seemed definitely that part if the moral in this situation was in how important communication is. There was a huge lack of communication between this entire community and the need to keep up a façade.
