It's been a while since I've picked up a thriller and this book didn't disappoint!

Set in Hollow's Edge, a sleepy, peaceful community where you're made to feel safe and at home but as we get into the story not all is at it seems. You get a real look into the inner workings of this community and as the book and story unravel they all start to become quite unsettling and that idyll starts to slowly dissolve. The town reminds me of the poison of tech and social media and how something so good and bonding can go rotten with lies and gossip.

You see this "need to know" unfold when Ruby, a resident of Hollow's Edge returns after being equitted for murdering her old neighbour's.

What starts out as quite a slow story, where I feel the focus of the writing is really setting the scene and giving us a feel for the community, then steps up a notch into suspense, mind games and a pack mentality that keeps you on your toes all the way until the final pages.
