This book reminds me a little of desperate housewives!
The setting is of a little close knit community where everyone knows each others business. Most of them even work together at the local college campus.
Harper lives in hollows edge. After her boyfriend leaves her she gets ruby to rent a room off her. All was going well until the next door neighbours die and ruby is out in prison for it.
14 months later she is let out and comes back to prove her innocence. Shortly after her return she is killed.
Harper at first believed ruby to be guilty but soon discovers the truth and who killed ruby.
Everyone in the community told little white lies that all added up to ruby being out in prison for the truetts deaths.
When ruby is killed though no one wants to talk.
I did enjoy this book but did feel like it was missing something. The twist at the end just wasn’t exciting.
