I loved this book, it was a perfect example of the a slow burn in the first half and then picking up with a load of secrets and lies coming undone in the second half. Hollow's edge is depicted as the type of area in which everyone strives to live in and work hard towards obtaining, the ideal life, some would say. But when a murder rocks the small community, the question is, was hollow's edge as idealistic as it was made out to be? This book had me hooked, though it was a slow read at the start, I felt the build up was necessary for the uncovering of many secrets which were laid to rest in the past. The book is well paced and uses characters which are extremely intriguing and keep you guessing throughout the entirety of the book. For those looking for a summery crime read I couldn't recommend this novel enough. Excited to see more works from this author.
