My first thoughts about the book are that the cover doesn't make me want to read it as it doesn't really explain anything about the story and wouldn't make me want to pick it up in a shop as it's quite dull looking when you haven't read what the book is about. The story sounds alright as it sounds intriguing and leaves me wanting to know the secrets but after reading the first look I don't think the book is for me.
