Absolutely Recommended
Initially, I read The Anomaly so that I could read The Possession without missing out on the storyline, and I am SO glad I did!
It's not that you couldn't understand the second book without reading the first, but rather it's that The Anomaly is such a fantastic book, I would not have wanted to miss it!
With some serious Indiana Jones vibes, this genuinely enthralling and unique story about a somewhat washed-up online-video film crew on a exploratory shoot will grab you by the throat. It was adventurous, historically interesting, mind-bending and at times, terrifying.
I did not expect this book to be quite so interesting, and I was absolutely delighted to be so hooked by what could have been just another adventure novel.
I would recommend this to fans of Indiana Jones and The Mummy, as well as Aaron Mahnke's podcasts, and fake science stories.
