I did enjoy reading this book, the cover I thought depicted the storyline well and I did find it interesting to have the photos and the paintings of the Grand Canyon to set the scene. The story starts with five people setting off to video a cave in the Grand Canyon as part of a You Tube series of films. We have Ken who is in his late 50s who is their driver, Pierre who looks after the camera and lighting equipment and despite his name he is not French, Molly a 28 year old assistant producer who also arranges the bookings, a woman named Feather and Nolan Moore who is actually telling the story of "The Anomaly Files" the title of his series of videos. They are riding through waters to find the cave known as Kincaid's cavern and then they are climbing up the side of the canyon to find the hidden cave, very soon you are transported to the main part of the book and I must admit it made me feel nervous as to what was going to happen next as the story reminds you very much of an Indiana Jones film. Making you feel nervous, jumpy with anticipation of what will happen and some unbelievable situations are just some of the emotions I felt whilst reading this book. I think the questions that runs through your mind are who do you trust? who are your friends? and what matters most to us - survival. The only reason I didn't give this five stars was the very beginning of the book which I felt dragged on a bit. Well worth a read.
