I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book as it’s not my usual type of book, but I enjoyed it a lot.

The book follows a team of archeologists filming a documentary to reveal the ‘truth’ to many conspiracy theories. With many failed attempts they are determined to find a mysterious cavern up in the ancient rock of the Grand Canyon.
For once, the team may have actually stumbled across what they are searching for, but then the trip takes a nasty turn - it has a kind of Indiana Jones vibe

I found the beginning of the book quite slow going and wasn’t sure I wanted to keep reading. I’m glad I persevered with it as it definitely gets more exciting and gripping after a few chapters.

I loved the concept of the story and really enjoyed the suspense throughout the book. I felt slightly let down as I didn’t find it as scary as I thought it would be, but overall an enjoyable read and it was nice to read something different
