I thought the extract would be good but it didn't seem to flow very well and I found it hard to follow. I enjoyed the first chapter but then the story went off in a different direction and I started to get a little confused.
I have never read any books by James Hazel so I'm unfamiliar with his writing style and the character of Charlie Priest. I've heard good things about The Mayfly so I'm wondering whether this book will get better over time.
